Perform Qurbani

for the Sake of Allah

Performing Qurbani is combined Sunnah of Ibrahim, Ismail and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them). Following their sunnah Muslims sacrifice sheep, cattle, goats and camels. It is performed after the Eid al Adha prayer and can only be performed between the 10th and 12th days of Dhul Hijjah.

Qurbani helps us understand the ultimate devotion of Ibrahim and Ismail Alayhimis’salam to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ and the sacrifices they were willing to make.

Fulfil the Sunnah

of Ibrahim عليه السلام

Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) had a series of dreams where he was being commanded to sacrifice his only, beloved son, Ismail. In his devotion to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎, Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) agreed to follow his dream and perform the sacrifice. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ intervened and sent a ram to be sacrificed in Ismail’s place.

This is year Akram Aid will In’sha’Allah be performing Qurbani in many poor Muslim communities around the world.
